It has been such a long time since I have posted anything!  Winnie and I got back to NC in June and have been busy ever since. I took a long term sub. position and started a class for my masters'. Winnie is enjoying swimming in the lake that's not even frozen over!   Some of these pictures are from after we got back and others are from when we were still in Fairbanks.  Sure am loving this long fall we are having down here in the south!  It does not feel like Halloween though because there is no snow on the ground.  We are not taking the weather for granted and are enjoying our time here.  Looking forward to heading back up north though!  Happy Halloween everybody!

Winnie and I after we finished the Beat Beethoven run Saturday.

My pretty drive to work.

Looking out our front door
The moose were standing right behind my car. You can see their eyes!

Mama Moose and her baby hung out around our house for about an hour.

I was trying to get our neighbor dog, Gunner, inside the house, but he wanted to be brave.

Our last big snow. (Hopefully)

Breakup!

Breakup season is finally upon us! The snow is melting more and more everyday with temps in the high 30's. Even though there are no leaves on trees yet and no flowers coming up, we still feel like it's springtime. The sun is coming up at 6:00 and is going down around 9 now. Life is great! Some of these pictures are older from a snow blizzard we had back in Feb.
The Alaska songbirds have come out from hibernating.

Icicles are a sure sign that things are warming up!
