Happy 4th of July!

I cannot believe that Tai and I have been in Alaska for a whole year now! We rolled into town last year on July 1st after our long journey through America. This 4th of July definitley beats how we celebrated last year with unloading our uhaul into a storage unit all day. We have had a spectacular weekend! Even though we didn't shoot off any fireworks because it's still very much daylight all day, it was still real fun. We went on our first camping trip with another couple of friends, Joe and Annsley. We brought Winnie and they brought their three dogs along for the trip, so we had a campsite full! When we got there, we ate a sandwich, set up our tents, and decided to go for a hike. We could not have picked a worse time to go because as soon as we started up the trail, the biggest thunderstorm I've ever seen in Alaska came. It even hailed on us! We were all wet rats and freezing when we got back. That night we fixed supper and fished a little but had no luck. We had a real good time relaxing and just hanging out. Here are some pictures. :) We hope all y'all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!

The dog wanted to help me with my s'more. :)
